Your pocket-sized insurance
About one year ago AG's Employee Benefits Healthcare department asked us to create an app to facilitate declaration of medical costs and response to the increasing demand of the market to offer an app to affiliates.
Below you can find an overview where I was involved in the project
Wireframing
Given the fact we already had usability tested, designed and developed the functionality "declare medical costs" on AG's website, it was just a matter of wrapping this in an app and add other essential functionalities for a healthcare insurance app
Usability testing
Being my first time designing such a functionality rich app from scratch it was bit scary, but it turned out very good.
We tested the full customer journey. Starting from the invitation letter containing the plastic membership card, via app activation to medical cost declaration
Graphical design
Together with the graphical designers I worked out a design that:
Feels natural on Android and iOS
Respects AG's style as described in the style guide
Stays close to the wireframes so that what worked well on wireframe isn't broken in the design
Multi-device and browser testing
During and after development we tested whether the app works on all types of smartphones
Using our list of most popular devices we tested the app using the Android and Apple phones of today.
