Choose your dental our outpatient care plan online
Past summer we got the assignment to allow affiliates to choose an optional dental or outpatient care plan in AG's affiliate customer zone My Global Benefits.
We were given only 3 weeks to define the customer journey, define functional requirements and make wireframes. And only 2 weeks later we had to deliver the design. So, not enough time for full stack UX design.

Wireframing
The wizard pattern was a no brainer, we've done that so many times now it really is an established pattern. The plan comparison table was new and challenging. Thanks to our development team we managed get to the classic 3 column comparison table for desktop and a very handy 2 column one for mobile. And thanks to the NNGroup article on comparison tables we can be confident of the UI pattern we chose.
For the other screens of the wizard we could reuse a lot UI patterns from our style guide speeding up the wireframing process.
Graphical design
Given the limited time frame we had to stay close to the wireframes. Our designers really managed to deliver a beautiful design that stayed true to the spirit of the wireframes
Multi-device and browser testing
During and after development we tested whether the the wizard worked on desktop and smartphone.
Using our list of most popular devices/browsers we tested using Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari. On Windows, Android and iPhone. And then it was time to let the bird fly !
